Stephanie Murakami

Stephanie began her career protecting, saving, and supporting pets as a volunteer at an animal hospital in Torrance, CA, in 1995. She obtained her RVT license, graduating with honors in 2006, thanks to her mentor Dr. Omoto. Dr. Omoto introduced Stephanie to the world of orthopedic procedures and emergency veterinary medicine.

As Stephanie continued in her career, the bonds she created with her patients and their families kept her excited about her profession in veterinary medicine. She has had the pleasure of working with different organizations across Southern California, from rescue foundations and large specialty and emergency hospitals to general practice hospitals. This has helped her gain over twenty years of leadership experience in the field and has also taught her that there’s always more to learn.

Born and raised in California, Stephanie’s family recently moved to San Diego, where she joined the team as a manager to the surgery, ophthalmology, and neurology departments at VSH – Sorrento Valley. Stephanie is excited to be a part of our team so she can continue to work in the field she loves and support fellow team members as they grow their skills.
